SILENCE THE CLOCK

Laying here awake
Pondering deep in thought
Glimpses of memories
Silence the clock
Hearts beating faster
Twirling still in the winds
Can't catch up
Wisdom has blends
Standing Unsteady
Figure it out
So much unKnown
What am I worried about?
Through the thresholds
Move thine feet
Don't give up
Take a leap
Carry me home
Have and to hold
I AM Yours
More precious than gold
Keep me close
Don't let go
I'm your queen
White as Snow
If this is a storm
How will I stand,
Will I be long gone
Or Stand Firm with Your Plan.
Lying here wakeful,
Drowning in thought;
Glimpses of memories,
The clock’s ticking caught.
A heart beating faster,
Tossed by the gale;
Struggling to catch up,
Where wisdom is frail.
Standing unsteady,
I try to discern;
So much is shadowed—
Why do I yearn?
Across every threshold,
Commanding my feet;
Refusing to falter,
The shadows retreat.
Carry me homeward,
To have and to hold;
I am Your treasure,
More precious than gold.
Keep me in shadow,
Keep me in sight;
Your chosen, Your queen,
A garment of white.
And if there’s a storm,
By Your grace, I will stand;
I won’t be long gone—
I’m firm in Your hand.
Lying here wakeful,
Drowning in thought;
Glimpses of ghosts,
In the clock’s ticking caught.
My heart’s beating faster,
Twirling wild in the gale;
I’m chasing a wisdom
That’s heavy and frail.
I’m standing unsteady,
Trying to discern;
In the face of the unknown,
Why do I yearn?
But through every threshold,
I’m moving my feet;
I’ll take the leap,
Where the shadows retreat.
Carry me homeward,
To have and to hold;
I AM Yours—
More precious than gold.
Keep me in rhythm,
Keep me in sight;
Your chosen, Your queen,
In a garment of white.
If this is a storm,
How will I stand?
Will I be long gone,
Or firm in Your hand?
I won't be a memory
Lost to the sand;
I’m standing steady—
A part of Your plan.
Yes, Lord, go ahead
and Silence The Clock.
